When I was a kid, I remember the big rush of filthy water in spring. We saw junk fish in there, but now it has been cleaned up to support even picky fish like salmon.
And now a park as well!
We used to wander along sections of it, to where it emptied into the Grand River. It was all bushed-over, with lots of sand or gravel banks where shore birds would hang out.
